When Reflexology May Not Be Suitable
At Shine Reflexology, your safety and wellbeing are always my top priority. While reflexology is a gentle and non-invasive therapy, there are certain situations where treatment may not be appropriate.
I may not be able to offer reflexology if you are:
In the first trimester of pregnancy (unless under medical guidance).
Experiencing a contagious or infectious illness.
Recovering from a recent surgery or injury in the area being treated.
Living with certain acute medical conditions such as deep vein thrombosis (DVT), unstable heart conditions, or severe cellulitis.
If you’re unsure whether reflexology is right for you, I’m always happy to discuss your individual circumstances in confidence. In some cases, I may ask for consent from your GP or healthcare provider or ask you to sign a medical disclaimer before proceeding.
